Beaches of Kos
The beautiful island of Kos has a coastline with long stretches of beaches in every direction, suitable to cater to your every need and expectation. From fully organized beaches to secluded little havens of solitude and from therapeutic hot waters to windy shores, Kos has everything. In combination with the temperate climate and a wide selection of accommodation facilities, it is easy to see why Kos is a popular destination in the Mediterranean Sea.
The most family friendly beaches on the island are Tigkaki and Kardamaina. Shallow waters and thin, golden sand, impeccable services and plenty of food options, make these beaches safe and convenient all-day destinations for every family.

Beaches of Kos
If you are looking for a more cosmopolitan beach, then the places for you to be are Lambi and Paradise beach. Lambi, with its convenient location close to the town of Kos is a popular destination not only for its wide selection of restaurants, beach bars and water sports facilities, but also for its vibrant nightlife. Paradise beach is also fully organized, and in addition, it is gorgeous in the sunset. On the contrary, seekers of solitude and privacy will find their absolute delight in Cavo Paradiso, a wild yet tranquil cove in the south of Kos Island.
Surfers will find their own peace of heaven in the windy coasts of Kochylari, Marmari and Mastichari, ideal for wind or kite surfing. Renting equipment is readily available, as well as learning and practice courses by professional instructors in surfing centers in both beaches.
But not every beach in Kos falls under a specific category; there are beaches so amazing and unique that must be mentioned individually. Firstly, the picturesque beach of Agios Stefanos stands right next to the ruins of an ancient temple, which adds to its mystifying allure. The setting is completed by the small rocky island with the quaint church of Saint Nicholas in the center of the gulf that makes this beach probably the most beautiful – and most photographed – spot of Kos.
Another of Kos’ beaches worth mentioning is Therma, a one-of-a-kind natural sea-spa so to say. The tiny beach is hidden at the foot of a rock from where hot mineral waters spout out towards the sea, forming a hot pool with therapeutic properties that attracts visitors from all around the world.
It is safe to say that no matter how you like your beaches, sandy, windy or trendy, in Kos you will find a beach that talks to your heart and that you’ll love forever!
